M-60
M-60
The ultimate evolution of the M-26 Pershing, the M-60 first entered service in 1960. Marine units were equipped with the M-60 up to Operation Desert Shield, and it is still used internationally. Like many western tanks of the time, most versions mounted the British L7 105mm gun.
M-60A2
The exception was the A2 model which featured an unfortunate gun/missile launcher. Perhaps counter intuitively, the future was an old technology, guns, not missiles.
